Why Being Named a 2026 Caring Super Star Still Matters to Me
I’m grateful to share that Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care has been named a 2026 Caring Super Star by Caring.com.
This is the seventh year in a row our agency has received this recognition.
I don’t share this just to announce an award. I share it because this one is based entirely on feedback from families — real people who invited us into their homes during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives and then took the time to share their experience publicly.
That kind of trust is earned, one family at a time.
What the Caring Super Star Award Actually Represents
The Caring Super Star Award is different from many industry recognitions. Agencies don’t apply for it, and it isn’t based on advertising, sponsorships, or nominations.
It’s earned through ongoing, verified five-star reviews on
Caring.com, year after year.
To remain eligible, an agency must continue to receive multiple new five-star reviews annually, reflecting consistent quality, communication, and reliability over time — not just a strong start or a good year.
In our case, we earn five or more new five-star reviews every year to maintain this status. Those reviews come directly from families we’ve served, sharing their real experiences with our caregivers and our office team.
As an owner, I value this kind of third-party feedback more than anything we could ever say about ourselves.
What Seven Years of Recognition Really Reflect
Home care is not simple work. Families’ needs change. Schedules shift. Caregivers juggle real responsibilities. Many families are making decisions quickly, under stress, and with a lot at stake.
Receiving this recognition seven years in a row doesn’t mean everything is perfect. It means we’ve stayed committed to doing the fundamentals well — even when things are complicated.
To me, this award reflects:
• Caregivers who take pride in their work
• An office team that stays responsive and accountable
• Thoughtful systems that support quality care, not shortcuts
• A culture that understands how serious trust really is
Most of all, it reflects families who felt supported enough to pause, look back, and share their experience so others could make informed decisions.
How This Fits with Other Recognition and Reviews
This Caring Super Star recognition doesn’t stand alone. It pairs with other independent validation our agency has received — including being named Best in the PNW and consistently earning strong Google reviews from families we serve locally.
Each of these reflects something slightly different.
The Caring Super Star Award is based on verified reviews from families actively searching for senior care — often during urgent or emotionally heavy moments.
Best in the PNW reflects broader community reputation and visibility over time.
And our Google reviews, which many families read first, offer an ongoing, unfiltered look at what it’s like to work with our team day to day: communication, reliability, caregiver quality, and follow-through.
None of these alone tells the full story. Together, they give families something far more important than marketing claims — independent confirmation, across platforms, over time.
That kind of consistency is what matters most to me as an owner.
What Families Often Tell Us
When I read our reviews — whether on Caring.com, Google, or elsewhere — a few themes come up again and again:
• Caregivers who are kind, capable, and dependable
• Clear, proactive communication from our office team
• Thoughtful caregiver matching
• Ongoing oversight and follow-through
• A feeling of being known, not just scheduled
We’re intentional about how we hire, train, and support our caregivers. They are licensed, trained, insured W-2 employees — not contractors — and they’re supported by a local team that stays involved throughout care.
Families don’t just need coverage. They need confidence. That’s what we work to provide.
A Word of Thanks
This recognition belongs first to our caregivers. They are the ones showing up every day, building relationships, and doing the work that truly matters.
It also belongs to the families who trusted us during challenging seasons of life, and who took time to share their experience so others could learn from it.
I’m deeply grateful to both.
For Families Exploring In-Home Care
If you’re considering in-home care for yourself or someone you love, I encourage you to read our reviews on Caring.com and Google. Not because every experience is identical, but because transparency matters when you’re making an important decision.
My team and I are always happy to answer questions, offer guidance, and help families understand what quality home care should look like — whether or not they ultimately choose us.
Seven years of recognition doesn’t mean we’re finished. It means we keep showing up, listening, and doing our best to serve families well.
