Some caregivers have a way of making themselves invaluable — to their clients, to their families, and to the team supporting them.
Caseita is one of those caregivers.
At Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care, we know Caseita as someone who is warm, dependable, positive, and almost always willing to step in when we need her.
She is a “yes” person, and we mean that in the very best way. Caseita has cared for Acti-Kare clients in Redmond, bringing the same warm smile and can-do attitude into every home she serves. Most importantly, our clients love her.
That is why we are so happy to recognize Caseita as our September Caregiver of the Month.
A Caregiver Who Brings Joy Into the Home
One of our favorite recent Caseita moments happened during a visit with one of her clients. Our team walked in and found the two of them sitting together, giggling and coloring. Her client absolutely adores her.
It was a simple moment, but it captured something important about Caseita’s approach to caregiving. She wasn’t just in the home completing a list of tasks. She was engaged with her client, enjoying time together, and making that person’s day a little brighter.
For older adults receiving care at home, that kind of connection matters.
Companionship can mean conversation, sharing an activity, going for a walk, preparing a meal together, or simply enjoying someone’s company. The activity itself isn’t always the important part. What matters is that the client feels engaged, valued, and comfortable with the person in their home.
Caseita has a natural ability to create that kind of comfort. Her smile is warm. Her attitude is positive. And clients genuinely enjoy having her around.
Warmth and Strong Hands-On Care
What makes Caseita particularly valuable is that she isn’t only great at the companionship side of caregiving.
On another day, we may see her providing hands-on assistance with mobility or helping a client transfer safely.
That range matters in home care.
A client’s needs can vary throughout a shift and can change over time. A caregiver may spend part of the day sharing conversation or an activity and another part providing personal care assistance, mobility support, or help with everyday routines.
Caseita handles both sides of the job well.
She knows how to have fun with a client and build a relationship, but she also understands when it is time to focus on the physical support that person needs.
That combination — warmth, confidence, and hands-on ability — is one of the reasons she has become such a client favorite.
The Kind of Caregiver Clients Want Back
Some of the most meaningful feedback we receive about our caregivers isn’t formal feedback at all.
It is simply:
“Can she come back?”
Caseita is one of those caregivers clients want to see again.
When a client looks forward to a caregiver returning, that tells us a relationship has formed. The client feels comfortable. The family has confidence in the care being provided. And the caregiver has earned a place of trust in the home.
For us, that is an important measure of excellent in-home care.
A “Yes” Person Our Team Can Depend On
There is another part of Caseita’s work that clients may not always see.
Our office team can count on her, too.
Home care is constantly moving. A client’s needs can change. A schedule can change. Someone may need additional support, and sometimes our team simply needs a caregiver who is willing to step up.
Caseita is very often the person saying, “Yes.”
That doesn’t go unnoticed.
She communicates with our team, is willing to help, and approaches her work with a positive attitude. Having caregivers who are both excellent with clients and dependable partners to the office makes an enormous difference in our ability to provide responsive care to families.
Caseita is one of those caregivers.
Sometimes Great Caregiving Looks Like Coloring and Laughing
Great caregiving doesn’t look exactly the same from one hour to the next. Sometimes it means safely assisting someone with a transfer.
Sometimes it means helping with personal care, meals, mobility, or daily routines.
And sometimes it means sitting at a table, coloring together and laughing.
Caseita understands that all of those moments matter.
She brings the practical caregiving skills her clients need while also bringing warmth, flexibility, humor, and genuine human connection into their homes.
Congratulations, Caseita, on being our September Caregiver of the Month.
Thank you for being someone our clients love, someone our team can depend on, and someone who brings such a positive spirit to the work you do.
We are very grateful to have you on the Acti-Kare team.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can an in-home caregiver provide both companionship and hands-on care?
Yes. Depending on the client’s individual care plan and the caregiver’s qualifications, in-home caregivers may provide companionship and meaningful activities along with hands-on assistance such as personal care, mobility support, dressing, bathing, and transfers.
Caseita is a great example of that range. A shift may include conversation, laughter, and an activity together while also including the practical assistance a client needs to remain safe and comfortable at home.
